Cardiothoracic Surgery

Home Among the noblest of human qualities are our innate sense of empathy towards those who are suffering and our compassionate drive to care for them. And no profession better exemplifies these uniquely human qualities than the medical profession. The noble spirit of human nature underlying these qualities is the guiding light of Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital and its Chairman, Dr. T.G. Govindarajan. The Centre for Cardio-Thoracic Care aims to be an embodiment of this spirit and strives to care for, and to alleviate the sufferings of patients with heart and chest diseases. Mission The following is the mission statement of Dr. Kamakshi Centre for Cardio-Thoracic Care:

  • To  provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with cardio-thoracic diseases at par with international standards,
  • To continually evaluate and audit our own performance with the aim of maintaining and, if necessary, improving the standard of care,
  • To evaluate and, if appropriate, implement evolving knowledge and technology in the specialty, so that patients get the latest and best care,
  • To nurture an environment where each and every member of the team feels empowered, and where his/her effort is acknowledged and appreciated,
